The Galaxy S24 FE could see a price bump that no one’s asking for
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has
gained attention, as flagship features are typically included in Fan Edition
phones. Fan Edition phones often offer premium features at a reduced cost, which
is why the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has been creating quite a stir. However, a
recent report indicates that the model for this year could not be as
affordable.
WinFuture reports that the Galaxy
S24 FE's price in Europe may increase by about €100 in comparison to the Galaxy
S23 FE. Should this trend continue in the United States, the price will likely
increase by $100, reaching approximately $699. That is more expensive than the
$599 starting price of the S23 FE.
Given the increased price, Samsung
isn't anticipated to provide more RAM or storage—the cheapest model is still
planned to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Galaxy S24 FE is
anticipated to receive a few significant improvements, though, which might
justify the price increase.
To start, the Galaxy S24 FE will
have a 6.7-inch screen, which is a welcome improvement over the S23 FE's
6.4-inch screen. With this update, Samsung's Fan Edition series will have a
significantly larger screen.
A 4nm Exynos 2400e chipset, a
somewhat modified variant of the Exynos 2400 seen in the flagship Galaxy S24
and Galaxy S24 Plus, is most likely going to power the Galaxy S24 FE. By doing
this, the Exynos 2400's efficiency and performance gains over the Exynos 2200
are tapped into, perhaps providing the S24 FE with a much-needed performance
boost.
Regarding optics, the S24 FE is
probably going to retain the same camera configuration as its predecessor,
which consists of an 8MP 3x telephoto, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 50MP primary
lens.
While the camera specs are
familiar, the new model is rumored to arrive with a bigger battery, thanks to
its larger body, which could mean longer usage hours.
