Microsoft has quietly launched a dedicated Copilot app for Android
Microsoft has quietly and quietly released a new Copilot app
for Android, offering customers a new interface to interact with the AI-powered
assistant and its functions. X spotted by @technosarusrex (earlier on Twitter),
the Google Play Store offers it for download right now, and based on the app's
description it was released just a week ago.
Not everything about the new Copilot app for Android is
brand new. It has many visual similarities to the Bing Chat app, while still
being able to provide access to the same chat functionality. Moreover, you can
use Copilot with SwiftKey, Skype, Android, and Microsoft Edge browsers, among
other things.
Many features that are already accessible on desktop
platforms are also supported by Copilot for Android, including the ability to
choose between light and dark themes. You can prepare papers or emails, ask
sophisticated questions, create graphics using DALL-E 3, or have a casual
discussion about anything. Additionally, you can enable or disable the newly
launched GPT-4 using the app.
According to Microsoft, the new application is as
follows:
Increase your productivity with Copilot, your chat assistant
powered by AI
Microsoft's Copilot is a state-of-the-art conversational
assistant that uses the latest OpenAI models, DALL·E 3 and GPT-4. These
state-of-the-art AI systems can provide fast, sophisticated and accurate
answers as well as create amazing images from simple text descriptions.
All in one place, chat and create for free!
Right now, the Microsoft Copilot app is limited to Android users. But don't worry iOS users—you can still get the same features with the Bing app, which you can download from the App Store by clicking this link. If your primary device is an Android smartphone, you can download the updated Copilot app for free from the Google Play Store.
